Slated for January 14-16, the Itikaf ceremony will be held for female activists.

The Sadiq Al Muhammad (PBUH) Mosque will host the rituals, which is expected to be also attended by a number of female Quran experts and figures.

Itikaf is a tradition of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and his family, and is regarded as a highly rewarding act of worship in Islam.

It is a spiritual practice in Islam that involves staying in a mosque for a certain number of days, fasting, and praying to God.

It is usually performed on the 13th, 14th, and 15th of Rajab, the seventh month of the Islamic calendar, which fall on January 14, 15, and 16, 2025.

In seeking to escape the desires of the self and the distractions of daily life, a person on the path of intimacy with Gid always requires a period of solitude. In this isolation, they can reflect on the wonders of their Creator with a discerning eye, cleanse their inner self from the tarnish of sins through reflection and worshipping God.

This purification allows the heart to become a sanctuary for the presence of the Creator of existence. Itikaf provides the environment for such solitude, offering the opportunity to attend to one’s inner matters and to witness the radiance of God’s love deep within their being.
